Watch It Happen

Welcome to the 10th Annual Lake Worth Street Painting Festival!
Watch as over 400 Artists use the pavement as canvas to transform downtown Lake Worth into a temporary outdoor museum of original art and masterpiece reproductions.

Watch the streets come alive as the artists transform the pavement into works of art.  It happens the last weekend of every February in downtown Lake Worth, Florida.

Street Painting

The great tradition of street painting began in Italy in the 16th century.  A crowd would gather whenever an itinerant artist used his chalks to turn the ordinary pavement into a fine work of art.  Although the "painting" would only last until the next rain, the tradition of street painting has endured over 400 years.

The Festival

The downtown streets will be brimming with over 200 street paintings, sponsored by businesses, organizations, and individuals.  Artists will fill the pavement with their works of art.

The festival will also include strolling minstrels, jazz, classical music, dance, theatre, improvisation, and an array of street side cafes.

The Bamboo Room Mainstage

Lake Worth's Bamboo Room will sponsor continuous live blues and jazz on the Festival's Mainstage, located at the Cultural Plaza, in the heart of downtown.

The Palm Beach Post Children's Meadow

Children of all ages will create their own street paintings in the Children's Meadow, designed especially for them. Sponsored by the Palm Beach Post, entertainment and amusements abound for the entire family to enjoy.

Washington Mutual Young Artist Studio

The Young Artist Studio, sponsored by Washington Mutual, features the street paintings of Palm Beach County elementary, middle, and high school students.
